I walk beside you, however that's needed — sitting quietly when nothing needs to be said, or helping talk through a decision no one feels ready to make. I listen for what matters most to you, and help bring it gently to the forefront.
Advance care planning, education about the dying process, care coordination, vigil in the final days and hours, and grief support afterward — all offered at the pace you need.

End of life doulas, also know as death doulas, help individuals and families — alongside other care providers — prepare for the end of life with individualized, compassionate care and support. Together, we identify the values that matter most to you.
This is a non-medical role. My background as a registered nurse and social worker informs everything I do, and I hold an active California nursing license — but as your doula, I do not provide medical care. I work alongside your hospice team and physicians, never in place of them.

On cost
Every situation is different, and cost should never be the reason someone goes without support. Consultations are complimentary. Fees are flexible and offered on a sliding scale, and I reserve time for pro bono work.
